IT'S A CELEBRATION
Our wedding ceremony will begin at 2pm at Upperud 9:9. Children are welcome. We will update this page with details as we know them.
TRANSPORTATION
We will be having the ceremony at Upperud 9:9 then will be moving on to have the reception/party in the garden of our house. We will provide transport to Upperud 9:9 from the 3 accommodation options listed below, then to our house in the afternoon, then back to the hotels at the end. If you need to drive to Upperud 9:9 on the day the bus can take you back to Upperud 9:9 later on. We will provide times on this page when we know them.
ATTIRE
No rules. It's a Swedish summer wedding so it should be warm but there's a chance of rain. We will be outside and on grass for the afternoon. Bring a layer or two for the evening.

On the subject of clothes, Dalsland is known for its beautiful lakes so pack some swimming gear for your trip.

TOASTMASTERS
It is traditional at Swedish weddings that guests are invited to speak or perform at the reception. They are arranged and compered by the toastmaster/s and at our wedding we are fortunate enough to have two. If you would like to speak or perform anything, in Swedish or English, please contact Johan (speaks Swedish and English) or Lorraine (English speaking) at the email addresses below:

GIFT
We do not wish for or expect any gifts at all. Your presence at our wedding is wonderful and we truly appreciate the considerable effort and expense you are taking to get here.

If you insist on getting us something, you might wish to contribute towards some apple trees we wish to purchase for our farm. If so, either Swish Kajsa or contact her here.

CLIMATE IMPACT
We are both well aware of the negative environmental impact of our wedding and we understand that you may feel conflicted about travelling. For us, we hope that your journeys will be ones you would have anyway made to visit us in the future and that this once, to have both sides of our families together, we can justify it. However, with that in mind, we have donated to verified Gold Standard projects which will help to offset the impact of our wedding and support sustainable development.
